The Program: The SCGA Foundation Scholarship Program is designed to help youth continue their education in college or vocational school. This year the SCGA Foundation will distribute $45,000 for tuition, room and board, and educational supplies.

Program Requirements: All applicants are required to submit an application, college budget, resume, and personal statement, along with two reference letters from community service or academic professionals. There is a minimum requirement of a 2.5 GPA, and students must maintain full-time academic status.

How to Apply:  In 2010, the scholarship program will be open to any junior golfer who is nominated by an SCGA Foundation partner organization. Scholarships are based on both need and academic merit. Applications are available through partner junior golf organizations and the deadline is March 1, 2010.

The Scholars: This year's scholars are a tremendous group of individuals; all of these students are very unique but are united by the common themes of a love for the game of golf and a desire to work hard to earn their college degree. For their interviews with the Scholarship Committee, they all arrived on time, in business attire, and some drove up to three hours for the meeting. The committee, was impressed with each candidate’s ability to communicate their goals, passion for golf, how they overcame obstacles, and the impact the scholarship would make in their lives.
